BULLETIN BOARD DECORATION COMPETITION

Event Held At :   St.Pauls Sr Sec School, Mala Road, Kota-Jn.                                                                         

The purpose of a bulletin board competition in school extends beyond mere decoration. Bulletin board competitions instil a sense of pride, camaraderie, and school spirit in the students, enriching their educational experience while challenging them to conceptualize, design, and execute captivating displays which leaves a lasting impact on the participants. These competitions encourage critical thinking, artistic expression, and effective communication skills. Moreover, they provide an opportunity for students to showcase their talents, celebrate diversity, and contribute meaningfully to the school environment.

The class-wise Bulletin Board Decoration Competition for Classes VI to XII was conducted with the ideology to give the students a platform to nurture creativity, foster collaboration, and to promote community engagement. The Topics were classified under Two Categories, where “Group A” consisted of Classes VI to VIII and “Group B” consisted of Classes IX To XII… Individual topics given to each of the Classes were as follows :-  Class VI - “We are a Rainbow of possibilities”,  Class VII – “Ways to be Great student”,  Class VIII – “Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader”, Class IX - “Learning gives you wings to Fly”, Class X – “Diverse Career Avenues/Options after Class 12th” and for Classes XI & XII – “Understanding Needs and Wants”.

The Judges for the competition were as follows :-

“Group A”- Sr. Jascintha, Ma’am. Sibylla Fernandes and Ma’am. Sunita Sen.

“Group B”- Fr. Sijin Paul, Ma’am. Cecilia Maclean and Ma’am. Nisha Paul.

 

The bulletin board competition was a resounding success, evident from the high level of participation, enthusiasm, and creativity displayed by students. Each team's dedication and ingenuity resulted in captivating displays that not only adhered to the theme but also showcased their unique talents and perspectives.

Summer Camp

The Summer Camp a Haven for Our Paulites.

Event Held At :   St.Pauls Sr Sec School, Mala Road, Kota-Jn.

At St. Pauls School Mala Road, Kota-Jn we organized a Summer Camp this year for our students commemorating its 60th year of rich heritage & legacy with its everlasting impact in the field of edification. Our mission simple yet profound, was to provide a nurturing environment for campers to discover their potential, build lasting friendships, and embrace new experiences where adventure, learning, and fun came together to create unforgettable summer memories!!

The Camp a Haven for young minds was the brain child of our Principal Rev.Fr. Martin Anto who was instrumental in organizing the event from the 8th to 18th May 2024 with a commitment

to fostering holistic development seeking exploration, camaraderie, and personal growth while offering a diverse range of activities under the banner of creative arts like Radio Jockeying, Music, Dance, Theatre, Art & Craft, Yoga, Aerobics and Calligraphy, with the idea to empower campers to unlock their true potential and explore their hidden passions and talents whether it be leadership abilities, artistic flair, or even a knack for problem-solving.

Our beautiful school Campus and its outdoor environment served as a natural playground for building determination, resilience and adaptability in equipping our students with the tools they need to thrive in today’s world filled with challenges. The Camp provided the opportunity and a space for intellectual curiosity and personal growth for campers engage in hands-on learning experiences that spark their creativity, ignite their passion for learning, and cultivate a lifelong love for exploration and discovery.

The Camp catered to activities which ranged from Creative arts to Outdoor survival skills along with team-building activities where the students were offered a plethora of opportunities to acquire new skills, whether it be conquering fear of the stage through Theatre and Public speaking, mastering the art of Yoga & meditation to bring about peace and tranquillity within one inner- self, or then learning the skills of jockeying a Stallion or even honing the skills of riding the Camel back are just a few of the many thrilling outdoor experiences our students were exposed too.

Our ethos have always focussed at community building where we at St.Paul’s Mala-Road strive to create a supportive and inclusive community for students from diverse backgrounds to come together, learn from one another and form bonds that extend beyond the camp with a strong belief that meaningful connections and friendships enriched through the experience at the Camp.

In conclusion, the impact of our Summer Camp extends far beyond the duration of a summer vacation. It's a transformative journey that shapes the hearts, minds, and spirits of its participants, leaving them with memories to cherish and lessons to carry with them for a lifetime.

Labour Day

Felicitation of our Helping Staff on Labour Day 2024

The contributions of our Labour force extend far beyond the confines of their designated roles, for they are the unsung heroes who work diligently behind the scenes, ensuring the smooth operation of every facet of our school, from the maintenance and custodial services to administrative support and beyond.

Their passion and professionalism are reflected in every task they undertake, whether it's maintaining the cleanliness of our facilities, providing logistical support for events or then offering a friendly smile and warm welcome to everyone who walks through our corridors, their dedication always shines through in every endeavour.

In order to reflect on the significance of this Occasion the school management celebrated Labour Day on the 1st May 2024 to express its gratitude to every member of our labour force whose contributions are invaluable. Each and every member of our helping staff was facilitated and garlanded by the students in the school assembly, followed by a word of appreciation by our Principal Rev.Fr. Martin Anto who reiterated his sincere appreciation for their resilience in the face of challenges, unwavering commitment and tireless efforts.

As we conclude this report, it is paramount to thank them for their dedication and passion, for it is through their collective efforts that we are able to fulfill our mission of providing a nurturing and enriching educational experience for all which is imperative for the continued success and prosperity of our school.

The significant Investiture Ceremony conducted in our auditorium at St. Paul’s Sr. Secondary School Mala Road, Kota for the academic session 2024-2025 is a testimony to our commitment for nurturing leadership and excellence as we formally install our new leaders, who embody the values of integrity, responsibility and service towards this prestigious institution…

Together, let us celebrate their dedication and pledge to uphold the spirit of our organization where the students gathered to witness this prestigious ceremony of being an integral part of the administrative body, “ The Student Council "…

Our Principal, Rev. Fr. Martin Anto and Vice Principal, Rev. Fr. Sijin Paul, were escorted by Mr. Sandeep Kumar to the stage as the school band heralded the Buglers Call signifying the beginning of the ceremony followed by The Head Boy, Master Siddh Jain, the Head Girl, Miss Priyal Khandelwal, the four House Captains, Vice Captains and the Office Bearers as they strode purposefully infused with deep earnestness and passion, synchronized perfectly with the drumbeat as they advanced towards the stage.. 

The ceremony commenced with Fr. Principal lighting the lamp followed by Fr. Vice Principal, the Head Boy and the Head Girl. The anchors for programme, two of our budding talents in Master Ahmed Khan and Miss Hiteshree Rathore offered a solemn prayer to our Lord, invoking his blessings and divine graces for this auspicious occasion, which was followed by the school choir showcasing their musical talents by delivering an appealing but solemn performance through a prayer song  “Be a Light”...

The elected leaders were officially bestowed with badges and sashes by Rev. Fr. Martin Anto. The Head Boy and the Head Girl were handed over the School flag while the House Captains were bestowed their respective house flags. Donning the mantle of accountability, the elected Leaders also pledged to bequeath their duties to the best of their abilities. The Class Monitors also took an oath to discharge their duties diligently and maintain discipline in the classrooms.

Further the elected Leaders profiles were read out, as each of them stepped forward on the dais to deliver their pertinent speeches signifying the virtues of their respective houses, symbolizing the ethics and principles represented by the colour adorned by each of the houses.

Rev Fr. Principal then gracefully delivered a meaningful message pepped with strong words of impeccable advise to the newly instated student council of leaders, asking them to be alert like an Eagle, always ready to seize any opportunity which may come their way, and to make the best of any given situation. He then congratulated the leaders and advised them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties asking them to uphold the values of the school and reminded them that with position comes responsibility towards their school and peers, and that it is the struggles that help one to achieve greater heights and become role models for their subordinates and contemporaries by always leading through example.

The Ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Deepika Papriwal thanking everyone involved for their efforts and contributions towards making this programme a successful one, which was followed by the entire gathering singing the School Anthem with a feeling of pride and fervour.

Independence Day Celebrations

Independence Day Celebrations

Dated : 16th August 2024.

This year 2024, India marked 78 years of independence since its liberation from the British colonial rule. The conceptualized themes for Indian Independence Day often reflect the current national priorities and goals which are crafted to resonate with contemporary issues and aspirations, aligning with the broader vision of national development and unity.

This year’s theme was " Viksit Bharat: Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas " (Developed India : Everyone's Support, Everyone's Development), which emphasized the commitment for national development and inclusive growth, reflecting the goal of creating a developed and prosperous India where all citizens have the opportunity to contribute and benefit from the nation's progress.

With the motto of inspiring patriotism, highlight progress and to reinforce the values of unity and integrity, we the Management, Staff and Students at St Paul’s Senior Secondary School, Mala Road, Kota celebrated this solemn occasion with great fervour and enthusiasm, which commemorated with the bugler's call gesticulating the beginning of celebrating the event and setting a tone of reverence and respect.

The Chief Guest, Col. Dharmendra Jairam Singh along with our Principal Rev Fr. Martin Anto and Vice Principal Rev Fr. Sijin Paul were escorted to the dais by the NCC cadets, where the chief guest proudly hoisted the national flag symbolizing unity and patriotism for all in attendance to the tune of the national anthem being played by our majestic School Band, which was followed by a brief overview by our student Miss. Vachika accentuating the relevance of celebrating Independence Day. Ma’am Priyanka Gandhi then introduced our Guest of Honour while elaborating his notable accomplishments and achievements in a distinguished career as an outstanding Army Officer, simultaneously felicitating this brave heart with a bouquet of flowers presented by the students of the primary section.

Next in line was the inspection of the Parade by the Chief Guest and our Principal, followed by the March Past by the students of the four houses, who in-spite of the heavy downpour remained undeterred as they impressively marched within the vibrantly decorated quadrangle of the school campus. Up next was a speech in English by Master. Viraj Paliwal followed by a fiery Hindi speech delivered by Master. Virat Pareek, thereafter backed up by the students of the secondary section presenting a Hindi patriotic song “Lehra Do” from the movie “83”.  A jingoistic Hindi skit in the form of “Nukkad Natak” highlighting the morale values of our society was presented by the students of the primary section.  

We then had our Chief Guest, delivering an inspiring speech to the audience evoking a feeling of pride and patriotism in everyone’s heart, while fostering a feeling of belonging and commitment for the overall development of our country. As a token of our gratitude a memento was presented to the Chief Guest by Fr. Principal. The School Toppers from Classes X and XII (Science & Commerce) streams were honoured with Meritorious awards for their outstanding performances during the recently conducted AISSCE Board Exams 2023 by the honourable guest.

Last but not the least was a group dance by the students of the secondary section who performed on fusion of patriotic songs choreographed to perfection and resonating the love for our motherland. Their synchronized steps and high energy levels left everyone adrenaline pumping high, infused with a sense of brotherhood and compassion towards our soldiers who defend our country so compassionately in very gruelling and difficult circumstances.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks being delivered by Sir. Sandeep Kumar      who was entrusted the responsibility of compeering this particular event under the meticulous guidance of our dynamic Principal, who was instrumental in making this event a Gala show and a thundering success…

RAKHI MAKING COMPETITION

RAKHI MAKING COMPETITION

Rakhi or Raksha Bandhan, is a traditional Indian festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters. It reinforces family bonds and provides an opportunity for siblings to express their love and appreciation for each other. The relevance and significance of a Rakhi can be understood through fostering values of love, protection, and familial duty. This festival serves as a meaningful occasion for reinforcing relationships and celebrating cultural traditions with a sense of unity and togetherness.

The purpose of conducting a Rakhi making competition in school extends beyond mere decoration and artistic expression but rather to provide an opportunity for students to showcase their talents, celebrate diversity, and contribute meaningfully to the school environment. The class-wise Rakhi Making Competition was conducted with the ideology to give the students a platform to nurture creativity, foster collaboration and to promote community engagement.

The Rakhi Making competition was organised for the participants of Secondary and Senior Secondary Section on 17th August 2023, the below mentioned Topics given to the students categorized under the different groups were evaluated on the Judgement criteria comprising of Theme, Creativity, Presentation, and Neatness :-

            1.         Classes VI to VIII  (Group 1) --  Beads and Buttons.

            2.         Classes IX & X   (Group 2)    --  Tri-Color.

            3.         Classes XI & XII  (Group 3)   --  Traditional with Paper Quilling.

The Judges for the competition were as follows :-

“Group 1”        --     Ma’am. Arshi Saiyed,  Ma’am. Viji Sachin  and  Ma’am. Anshita Shourie.

“Group 2 & 3” --     Ma’am. Alice Abreo,  Ma’am. Cecilia Maclean and Ma’am. Vani Singh Tomar

 

The objective of the Rakhi Making Competition was to increase the awareness among the students and to protect and safeguard the environment using eco-friendly resources while learning to cherish and restore the traditional values of this sacred festival. The competition was a resounding success, evident from the high level of participation, enthusiasm, and creativity displayed by the students. Each group’s dedication and ingenuity resulted in captivating creativity of ideas that not only adhered to the theme but also showcased their unique talents and perspectives.

Teachers' Day Celebration

Teachers' Day Celebration..    Honouring our Educators…

6th September 2024..

Teachers' Day is a special occasion dedicated to honoring and appreciating the invaluable contributions of educators to our society. It is a day when students express their gratitude for the guidance, wisdom, and mentorship they receive from their teachers, who shape the minds and future of the generations to come. The celebrations varies across countries, but its central theme remains the same, recognizing the hard work and dedication of those who devote their lives to teaching..

We at St.Paul’s Mala-Road celebrated Teachers Day on the 5th September 2024 with great enthusiasm as our elite staff of talented Gurus were elegantly escorted by the school band to the school auditorium, which was beautifully decorated with flowers, banners and festoons creating an ambience of great festivity.. Our esteemed faculty was then gracefully welcomed by senior students comprising of a group of elected office bearers from the four different houses..

The programme started with a beautiful introduction perfectly relevant and fitting to occasion, given by the students from the senior section who skilfully compered the entire event with the help and guidance of Ma’am Reshma Pereira & Ma’am Shreya Rathi. Our Principal Rev. Fr. Martin Anto was then invited to light the sacred lamp, followed by a solemn prayer by a student and subsequently requested to garland the portrait of a great a philosopher and the second President of India Dr. Sarvepalli  Radhakrishnan. The programme then changed gear as the entertainment show began with the students of the Secondary section beautifully singing a medley of songs, which was followed by a group dance by the students of the Primary section.

As the protocol requires, our Principal then took to the stage to address the gathering and expressed his sincere gratitude for the teachers in their commitment, efforts, dedication and hard-work, because of which our institution today can proudly boast of its rich heritage, since it still carries the mantel of being the one of the most prestigious & renowned brand in the field of edification through these past 60 glorious years, churning out thousands of brilliant Paulites who are admired and respected throughout the Globe. He reiterated that it was imperative to realize the value of our teachers because of the fundamental role they play in shaping the future of society, and for their influence which goes beyond the classroom as they often become mentors, role models, and sources of support for students throughout their lives.

Thereafter, a special programme was organised by the teachers of the Kinder-Garden section at the school auditorium with a few games having been played while the snacks were served around, which was followed by a game of Housie played with a lot of entertainment in an atmosphere filled with fun, frolic & laughter. As a token of love & appreciation gifts were distributed to the teachers by Fr. Principal and Fr. Vice Principal as the programme culminated with an appetizing lunch being arranged for the teachers by the school management.

Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayant

Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti...     A Tribute to our National Heroes...

2nd  October  2024.

Gandhi Jayanti is a day to reflect on the principles of truth, Ahimsa (non-violence), and Satyagraha that Mahatma Gandhi espoused, is an opportunity for citizens to honor his memory and renew their commitment to his ideals of peace, unity, and tolerance as his teachings have since influenced global movements for civil rights and freedom.

A special assembly was organised on 2nd October 2024 in the school quadrangle to mark the occasion and pay respect to these two great freedom fighters of our country who have been a beacon of truth, nonviolence, and selfless service which has inspired generations over the years.  The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi Ji and Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji followed by the morning prayer by our Vice-Principal Rev.Fr. Sijin Paul. The life sketches of Mahatma Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji were then read out by some senior students followed by a Prayer, the thought for the day and the National anthem being sung by the school choir.

The students were then asked to thoughtfully design and display their classroom notice boards with effective posters and pictures that symbolize Gandhi Ji’s values, which included his famous quotes and a timeline of significant events or celebrations related to his life, to help understand the depth of his journey and contributions.  A short film was documented by Ma’am Shreya Rathi depicting the biography of Gandhi Ji and Shastri Ji shown to the students in their respective classes, after which they were asked to write a short character sketch of what they had observed and learnt from the lives of these two great personalities. Mahatma Gandhi taught us that true strength lies not in dominance, but in compassion and understanding.

May we all carry forward his message of love, tolerance, and the courage to stand up for what is right, "Try to be the change you wish to see in the world." Let these words of his guide us toward a brighter, more compassionate future…

Cultural Youth Fest

St. Pauls Cultural Youth Fest 2024…  The Ultimate Crescendo of Entertainment..

30th October 2024

Every year St.Paul’s School Mala Road- Kota transforms into a vibrant hub of creativity and expression during its much-anticipated Cultural Youth Fest. This year the event coincided beautifully with Diwali, “The festival of Lights”, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with creativity, joy, and togetherness. Over three exhilarating & exciting days starting from the 24th to 26 Oct’ 2024, students participated in a myriad of activities to showcase their talents and to celebrate the rich tapestry of Indian culture and the spirit of Diwali…

The fest kicked off with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Our Principal & Vice Principal, thereafter enfolding on the first day of festivity with a series of competitive events which were judged by an elite panel of technically sound maestros, each being proficient in their own field of expertise. The students of the various houses were invited to exhibit demonstrate their talents & skills under the below mentioned categories which included :-

English Declamation -- “A powerful form of public speaking that involves delivering a speech or passage passionately with the aim of expressing persuasion, rhetorical flair and emotional resonance. The content of the declamation piece specifically having been inspired by a renowned Indian figure or celebrity”..

Hindi Group Singing “The themes centred around tunes that inspired and evoked feelings of optimism, resilience, and transformation while conveying the message of hope and the potential for change in the future, while adhering to the lyrics, composition, synchronisation and rhythm of the songs”..

Mime Skits “A captivating form of storytelling that transcends language barriers, relying on the universal language of movement and expression to convey complex emotions and narratives creatively, making it a unique and engaging theatrical experience for the audiences of all age groups with acts based on Social reforms in India, reflecting the evolving needs of our society”..

English Skits – “Themes were based on famous Hindi skits crafted by Munshi Premchand, that delve deep into the social issues of his time while imparting timeless morals reflecting the struggles of the common man, emphasizing themes of justice, empathy and integrity”..

 

The second day festivity saw a lot more of enthusiasm, fun & entertainment as the energy levels sored to their optimum while the students took the stage to showcase their talents under the following categories:-  

Solo Dances – Inspired by the theme, “Rhythms of the Soil” each song track required to be influenced by any folk culture and traditions from within any state or territory of India, with the judgement criteria following benchmarks set as per authenticity of costumes, choreography, gracefulness and melodic appeal..

Group Dances – Sending forth the message of universal love and brotherhood the theme “Rhythms of the World – one journey one dance”, required the participants to perform a medley representing various cultures from different parts of the globe which were supposed to emphasize the ideology that, “Different of cultures are not divisions of society but rather are unique threads woven into the fabric called-Humanity”.

Quiz competition – Our Quiz master Rev.Fr. Sijin Paul the brain behind hosting an exhilarating quiz competition, conceptualized with the perception of testing the knowledge and wits of Paulites was organized into multiple categories namely general, memory, buzzer, word cookies, audio-visual & rapid-fire rounds, covering a wide range of topics ranging from history & science, to sports & entertainment... With a vibrant atmosphere and a passionate audience, the event highlighted the importance of learning in a fun and engaging manner since each round was designed to challenge the contestants while keeping the audience engrailed and engaged.

 

In a genuine address to students and faculty, our Principal Rev Fr. Martin Anto emphasized the importance of resilience in navigating through challenges we face in our lives. In a beautifully conscripted speech pepped with words of encouragement and inspiration as always, he reiterated that it is completely normal to feel nervous before stepping into the spotlight, whether it be a stage presentation, performance or then a public speaking event. The mantra to overcoming stage fright is about having a positive mind-set and to and embrace the energy and transform it into enthusiasm and joy..

In would be unfitting to forget the hard-work of Ma’am Kavita Singhani under whose expertise was the deftly crafted script for compering the entire event so meticulous implemented by her team of senior students. The fest concluded with students showcasing their artist talents decorating the school with intricate Rangoli designs, clay pottery, hand-painted fabrics, Diwali greeting cards, shimmering diyas, and intricate paper lanterns. The air was filled with excitement as students collaborated to transform the school into a beautiful reflection of Diwali’s essence.

The highlight of the final day was a sincere gesture on the part of the school management in showing our affection, love, compassion and warmth towards the elderly members of our society by inviting around 20 Senior citizens from the Sevadham Ashram at Kota,  to witness the Ramlila performed as a special dance drama by a group of talented artists from the Raghvendra Kala Sanstha to depict the quintessence of the Ramayana and  convey  the message of “ Victory for the Good over Evil and Light over Darkness”.

The Cultural Youth Fest at St.Paul’s  Mala Road, was a resounding success and more than just an event, it was a celebration of unity in diversity since it was intertwined with the Diwali celebrations.. The fest not only showcased talents and creativity but also reinforced the importance of community and cultural appreciation fostering an environment where students learn from each other and built lasting friendships, reminding everyone of the importance of preserving traditions while embracing modernity along with the legacy and rich cultural heritage of our Institution…

 

As the curtains closed the echoes of laughter and applause lingered, leaving everyone eagerly awaiting next year’s festivities, for such competitions help cultivate an environment where, “Curiosity thrives and learning knows no bounds”...
